PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN MCI AND CCI-TL FOR THE DILI INTERNATIONAL TRADE EXPO 2025
Dili, August 4, 2025 – The IX Constitutional Government, through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI), together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Timor-Leste (CCI-TL), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the partnership between MCI and CCI-TL for the Dili International Trade Expo 2025.
This agreement considers the CCI-TL as a strategic and multifaceted partner in supporting the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) to organize the Dili International Trade Fair in 2025. The MoU formalizes cooperation between the two entities to organize this important event that supports the development of the private sector.
In his speech, Minister Nino Pereira stated that this event can share Timor-Leste's economic potential, aiming to take advantage of and continue investing in an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable economic development.

CCI-TL President, Mr. Jorge Manuel de Araujo Serano, emphasized that this is a good opportunity to expand Timor-Leste’s hidden riches.

The Dili International Trade Expo 2025 will be the first international trade exhibition organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Timor-Leste, aiming to bring together countries, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), businesses, NGOs, and international governmental organizations (IGOs) to showcase their achievements, innovations, culture, and new technologies, and to encourage cross-sectoral collaboration.
