DILI INTERNATIONAL TRADE EXPO 2025 (DITE-2025)

The first International Trade Exhibition of Timor-Leste, organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The IX Constitutional Government, through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI), with coordination and support from the Office of the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs (MCAE) and the Ministry of Tourism and Environment (MTA), will hold the Dili International Trade Expo 2025 (DITE-2025) from August 28 to September 1, 2025.

The objective is to gather nations, small businesses, media, companies, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and International Governmental Organizations (IGOs) to showcase their achievements and present innovations, culture, and technology, as well as encourage collaboration across sectors.

DITE-2025 was officially launched to the public by His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Nino Pereira, in the Ministry's meeting room located in Bebora-Dili, on April 28, 2025. As the first exhibition of its kind, it aims to highlight the potential Timor-Leste holds in the economic sector, especially in business, including product potential aligned with the 2025 State Budget (OJE), and within the competencies given to MCI to promote and publicize value-added products that meet the demands of both the domestic and international markets.

The DITE-2025 Organizing Committee has held internal technical meetings within the Ministry and coordination meetings with relevant inter-ministerial bodies, including the private sector, civil society, and academic institutions that will involve university students from the preparation phase to the execution of the DITE-2025 event.

Minister Nino Pereira and the Organizing Committee team have reported on the DITE-2025 preparatory results to His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. José Ramos-Horta, at the Nicolau Lobato Presidential Palace, Bairopite-Dili, on June 3, 2025. DITE is viewed as a pathway or gateway to bring Timor-Leste’s market to the international arena, according to Minister Pereira, who also requested that His Excellency the President of the Republic, as Head of State, officially open the DITE-2025 international event.

Meanwhile, His Excellency the President of the Republic expressed pride in the plan and program, considering it a way to help Timor-Leste expand into the global market with its potential products.

To conclude, His Excellency the President of the Republic will deliver an official message regarding the DITE-2025 program through the Official Page of the Presidency of the Republic, inviting everyone—especially ASEAN and CPLP member countries, as well as others—to participate in this Trade Expo.
