The IX Constitutional Government focuses on economic development and economic diversification to contribute to the process of state building, through improving knowledge and entrepreneurship development in Timor-Leste.

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) through the YEES project provides opportunities for young people in Timor-Leste to start businesses to promote sustainability and increase economic growth.

UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Timor-Leste Ms. Adeline Carrier and UNDP Consultant Mrs. Marta Lazoni met with HE Minister of Commerce and Industry ๐™ˆ๐™ง. ๐™‰๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™ค ๐™‹๐™š๐™ง๐™š๐™ž๐™ง๐™– to hear the Ministry's opinion on the project as well as concerns and suggestions that can be improved for the general reform of the Ministry.

In addition, to reinforce, some young people to disseminate and raise awareness of information in the media, so that information at the village level at the grassroots level can give better opportunities to young people in Timor-Leste, to dynamize the economy in Timor to attract private investment can come to Timor-Letse and promote economic diversification.
